Join us on Monday February 27th at 6:00pm as KTMB hosts the first class of our series; Trash Talk, where we deep dive into the waste stream, metaphorically of course. Light refreshments and seating will be provided. Do you know what the 4th R is? Recycle! Recycling is an important integration to a Zero Waste system known as the 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot). But, in order for recycling to work, we must recycle right. "Wish-cycling" has become somewhat of a nuisance and occurs when we toss something in the recycling bin we wish could be recycled but is not typically accepted at our local recycling center. Join KTMB to learn about the impact our waste stream has on our environment and ways we can help reduce the contamination rate at our local recycling center!
