CHELSEA LOVITT
Chelsea Lovitt is a Hattiesburg, Mississippi native that's been back in Nashville since 2016, after living between New Orleans and France, making a debut record at the eastside gem: the Bombshelter Studio. Lovitt emulates a true country sound with a very distinct rock n’ roll presence. Lovitt's unique voice and writing style stems from Deep South roots with hints of honky-tonk and country-punk, creating a melodic swampy-surf sound delivered with true grit and emotional intelligence. With a deep appreciation for taste, CL is an old soul influenced by classic story-tellers and lyricists such as John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Billie Joe Shaver, Jerry Jeff Walker, Kris Kristofferson, Loretta Lynn, Arlo Guthrie, and Todd Snider, just to name a few. She also finds inspiration in all things Bowie, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Jimmie Rodgers, Iggy Pop, and Hank Williams of course Johnny Cash and all things outlaw (Willie/Waylon).
Direct Support/Bills: Todd Snider, Wayne Hancock, JD Wilkes /Legendary Shack Shakers, Sierra Ferrell, Melissa Carper, Ramsay Midwood, Thelma and the Sleaze, Kelsey Waldon, Jim Lauderdale, Deertick, Craig Brown Band, the Country Westerns, Sam Doores, Quebe Sisters, Darrin Bradbury, Carlene Carter, Blackfoot Gypsies (DeeOhGee)
