Solar Flare Sunset is looking for a drummer! Three piece rock band with three full-length original albums and a fourth currently in production. Our original drummer, Raul, is amazing, but plans to move out of state. We are in the process of recording our newest EP, which will be the last project Raul will be available for. We’re sad to see him go, but appreciate his offer to help onboard the new drummer, hopefully during his “final” band practice. The ideal candidate is a badass drummer who loves rock music, is creative and collaborative, reliable, easy to work with, and serious about their music industry ambitions. Ability to play other instruments and/or sing is a plus, but not required. Band Roster: Ethan - lead singer, guitar, songwriter, band founder (age 29) August - bass guitar (age 27) Raul - drummer; moving out of state Taylor - Band Manager Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, availability for weekly band practices (4+ hours) in addition to 1-4 scheduled shows per month. Availability for in-state and border state mini-tours (Friday night - Sunday night trips), as well as bi-annual out of state tours (about 1 week each). We can be flexible and work with your day job schedule, but need someone dedicated, reliable, and consistent. Comfortable with participating in social media content including photography, videography, costume attire, outreach / volunteer efforts, and other band events. Prior band experience and Interest in singing backup vocals is a plus, but not required. Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred for venue booking purposes). About Us: Our sound has been compared to 90s grunge / alternative rock bands such as Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Smashing Pumpkins, but we are not a cover band.
