Overview: Custom Classics Auto Body & Restoration is family owned and one of the nation's largest classic car restoration and auto body repair centers in business for over 38 years. Responsibilities: Wash and fully detail the exterior and interior of a vehicle according to customer and shop's needs Vacuum to remove dirt and debris, clean upholstery and surfaces, use air compressors and cloths to dry surfaces and apply preservation chemicals to surfaces to protect against spots and stains, shampoo interior (seats, rugs, trunk, etc.) Cleaning and removing any grease on engines or engine compartments or the underside of vehicles safely Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines (MUST have buffing and polishing experience) Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation and completes final quality control checklist. Job Requirements: At least 2 years of experience and verifiable past work references with automotive detailing, buffing, waxing is required; reliability and high attention to detail required. Follow quality control checklist to assure all aspects of detailing completed prior to vehicle being returned to customer. Maintain valid driver’s license No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record. Maintain neat and clean appearance; should be personable and properly represent Custom Classics due to direct contact with customers. Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules Ensures that work areas are clean. Must be punctual and regular and reliable in attendance at our Island Lake, IL location. **Payment commensurate with experience.
