Deep Green Services, Inc is seeking a full time, year-round landscape crew supervisor. The crew supervisor position will have a starting salary of $25 an hour plus bonuses. This position is responsible for leading and supporting a crew of 2 to 3 in the care and maintenance of residential and commercial properties (general mowing, edging, blowing, and chemical treatments). The supervisor will report directly to the owner/general manager. Must be able to work with limited supervision, be a quick learner, dependable and open to feedback. The company is based out of Morrisville and services areas throughout the Triangle. Must have a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities - Ensure team loads the equipment and starts the day on time - Ability to perform all landscape maintenance duties such as lawn mowing, trimming, edging, leaf blowing, etc. Supervise and guide team to ensure daily tasks are completed - Train & coach team members - Operates machinery appropriately in a safe manner, specifically, zero turn mowers, tractors and push mowers. Adept at using a string trimmer especially for edging. - Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools. Treats lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide or weed inhibitor - Handles the day-to-day general maintenance duties - Maintain equipment and suggest any new equipment needed - Communicates directly with clients on site - Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications - 5+ years experience in lawn care maintenance - 3+ years experience supervising - Ability to operate all maintenance equipment and machinery - Proactive organizational and time management skills - Effective conflict resolution and critical-thinking skills - Knowledge of different grass types and how they are maintained - Knowledge of and ability to use herbicides for various grass types - Strong communicator - Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions - Must possess a valid state driver’s license
