Social home for GC Conure

Description

I've fostered a GC Conure, Jack (12yo male) for over a year now, while knowing my living situation isn't ideal for him but I had to get him from where he was. My intent was to 'de-traumatize' him, train a little and find him a seriously vetted permanent home; It's not safe for him here long term. I live in a large open studio apartment (no rooms except bathroom, somewhat limited light). I'm a working artist, often at times using bird-hazardous material; paints, glues, tape, cutting utensils. There's also a stove-top area with cooking. I try to keep him out of the cage most of the day but it is extremely awkward when he always wants to be involved with what I'm doing. It takes immense time and energy to do basic daily activities, keep him safe, and get work done. Ive missed on some important project deadlines. Also I'm on the autism spectrum and have limited social interaction which is fine for me but not ideal for a technically wild flock animal. He is VERY bonded to me which is a concern but I think he just didn't have enough attention previously in his life. Whenever I leave the stress being alone causes him is clear; I try be away only 2-4hr with great difficulty. It's very demanding/ limiting for me to be his only social connection. I'm adamant about finding him an ideal home with other birds people animals, just beings of some real kind around. Preferably a local situation would be best for introducing or assessing a Jacks compatibility with a new home. For an especially promising home, I would be willing to travel at my cost.
