Our February class about whiskey sold out in 72 hours, so we've added another for March 5th. This class is about the origins, drinks, and the rise of whiskey in America. Learn how whiskey led the push for westward expansion while Hogwash Whiskey Den's master mixologist, Simon Moorby, guides you through how to make 3 cocktails. Your mixology lessons include using the barkeep's tools and techniques correctly. Cocktail historian Renée Cebula, with Raising the Bar, tells the stories of how these drinks shaped drinking culture and impacted our city.
Develop your palate and learn the mixologist's techniques for making drinks. Enjoy appetizers, and take home your recipe booklet to continue your cocktail explorations at home. This interactive cocktail class combines history and mixology. Class set-up includes bartending stations with all the necessary tools, fresh-made and prepped ingredients, and vintage glassware. Shake, stir, and sip in style as you hear the stories, learn the techniques, and enjoy the drinks.
Tickets are $65 per person. Your ticket includes three crafted drinks, mixology and history lessons, appetizers, and a souvenir recipe booklet.
Must be 21 and over. Each class is limited to 30 guests.
