“In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful”. - Alice Walker
Nature continues to remind us that we are enough, just as we are. Not who we will be in 5 years, or who we will be when we accomplish our next goal, but who we are now in the present day. Beautiful and Complex. Authentic and Guarded. Grounded and Disheveled.
In all of our being, we can show up, we can rest, we can be, and we can TAKE UP SPACE.
Join Black Women In Nature on February 4, 2023 at Scioto Audubon Metro Park from 2 pm - 4 pm as we explore Black folks historical experiences in the outdoors and what it means for us to take up space and reconnect to the healing powers of nature. This gathering will include a guided meditation, nature hike, and reflective dialogue in community.
