Join our staff as we head out onto the trail and explore all two of our park locations and the McDonnell Trailhead. Many times we are unsure of where to go and what type of trail might lay ahead. Each group will be accessed for their abilities as well as desire as to which trail to take during our time hiking. Hiking sticks are not needed but can be helpful.
The June hike, will take place at the Norma Johnson Center (4033 SR 39, Dover, OH). We will meet at the kiosk beside the yellow pole barn, located off of SR 39, to head out on the Preservation Loop. July, will take us to the McDonnell Trailhead (717-791 OH-212, Bolivar, OH 44612). We will meet in the parking area and then cross the aqueduct and venture towards Bolivar. In August, we will explore the towpath that is near the Canal Lands Park (8645 Dover-Zoar Road, Zoar, OH). We will meet under the picnic shelter before heading out on to the trail.
Registration is preferred but not required. We will meet in various locations each month so make sure you know where the event is being held for that particular month. Questions call the office 330.365.3279.
