Special Olympics Indiana has teamed up with award-winning Indiana filmmaker Ted Green to share the life story of Indiana icon and MLB great Carl Erskine, who has had an immeasurable impact on the Special Olympics movement. “The Best We’ve Got: The Carl Erskine Story” highlights Carl’s life as an advocate of acceptance and inclusion, his storied baseball career and his important role as a parent to a son with Down syndrome. Since its debut in August 2022 in Carl’s hometown of Anderson, this inspiring film has been seen by tens of thousands of people in theaters across Indiana.
