The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cherokee County Center is offering pressure canner lid testing for dial gauge lids. (Weighted gauges do not require testing.) We will offer free testing of canner lids from March 28th-31st, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Your dial gauge should be tested yearly to ensure accuracy. Bring your canner lid with the gauge attached to 40 Peachtree Street, Murphy, NC to be tested. Our office is located on the second floor of the Courthouse Annex Building.
