In celebration of Super Bowl LVII, the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the National Football League (NFL) welcome local media to tour NFL Crucial Catch grant recipient, Adelante Healthcare. The event will raise awareness for the work of Adelante Healthcare and ACS’s NFL Crucial Catch partnership which funds the ACS CHANGE Grant program whose mission is to promote health equity. Specifically, the program addresses cancer early detection disparities through community-based cancer prevention programs like Adelante Healthcare that increase access to necessary cancer screenings. Adelante is dedicated to providing the community access to healthcare, regardless of a person’s background, status, or station in life. Adelante staff is focused on helping individuals get needed treatment – especially preventative care and screenings – while helping them successfully navigate the healthcare system. With support from the ACS CHANGE Grant Program, Adelante has helped provide the community with needed screenings that may have been missed, in part due to the ongoing pandemic.
