Furniture forms have evolved with multiple seating needs and sitting variations. Much of our wakeful and working lives are spent in a chair. Join us on Feb 16th for our Open House exclusively for Interior Design.
We find ourselves sitting in the car or train, in living and dining rooms, schools and coffee shops, offices and waiting rooms, among many others. The chair that we touch with our hands and support our bodies become an intimate part of our everyday experience.
In this workshop, led by Dr. Thelma Lazo-Flores, Chair of our Interior Design Program at Istituto Marangoni Miami, we will create new chairs and develop seating forms as we codify the alphabet in indoor and outdoor settings. Join our creative journey at IMM to reframe your ideation process, push your rapid visualization techniques, and understand the realms of human factors, and fundamental elements of design.
Let’s reimagine the chair with a whole new body-mind perspective. For more information, please contact: [email protected]
Registration starts at 6:30 pm. Spots are free to reserve but are limited so make sure to RSVP to secure your seat.
