Job Summary: Appliance Installation Technicians are responsible for delivery and installation of residential appliance products. Products include Over-the-Range Microwaves, Dishwashers and Built-In Ovens. Essential and Primary Functions: - Loading appliances within a warehouse environment. - Residential delivery of appliances - Proper handling and installation of gas and electric household appliances such as Over-the-Range Microwaves, Dishwashers and Built-In Ovens. - Ensures the installed appliances are damage free, properly installed according to manufacturer’s specifications and are fully functioning - Advise and educate customer regarding use and care of appliance Minimum Job Requirements: - Meet State licensing requirements (TX: TDRL Apprentice Electrician; OK: Electrical License; LA: To install gas appliances in LA., a Master Gas Fitters License is required by the company and a minimum Journeyman Gas Fitters License is required for the technician that is doing the installations or if the company has a LA. Mechanical License, only the company has to be licensed and not the technician doing the installations. - 1 year experience with in-home residential major appliance delivery & install experience - Own Large Vehicle - Ability to transport 1-4 “New/In-box” appliances; plus haul away replacement until and disposal or return to warehouse. - Insurance Requirements: Coverage Required. Installer shall obtain and maintain the policies listed below with coverage in all geographical areas where Installer operates. Such insurance can be any combination of primary or umbrella/excess policies. - Commercial General Liability. (Including liability arising from premises, independent contractors, product and completed operations, personal and advertising injury and contractual liability coverage), with a minimum of $1,000,000 each occurrence; $2,000,000 General Aggregate limit; and $2,000,000 Products and Completed Operations Aggregate limit, written on an occurrence form. Insurance shall be written on a world-wide basis. - Workers' Compensation Insurance. with statutory limits and Employers’ Liability (Stop- Gap Liability in monopolistic State Workers Compensation Fund states) insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per accident for bodily injury and property damage. Such insurance shall contain a waiver of subrogation endorsement in favor of Costco Wholesale and include all other states where employees perform work. - Automobile Liability Insurance. with $2,000,000 coverage limits per accident for bodily injury and property damage for each accident, including owned, non-owned and hired vehicles.
