BELLMORE, NY — Nassau County police responded to dueling protests at the Bellmore train station over the weekend.
According to police, small groups of Black Lives Matter and pro-Trump protesters were both at the Bellmore train station Saturday afternoon. The two groups were both protesting.
Police were called to the scene and deescalated the situation before things became a problem. Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder was also at the scene.
The group was dispersed peacefully. Police say no one was arrested or injured.
