Currently, we are looking to add an experienced, Automotive Mechanic to the Genz Ryan family! The Automotive Mechanic will manage 100+ fleet and assist to work on general automotive/mechanical components such as transmissions, engines, and anything with a small engine, all while practicing the company CORE values: PRIDE, DRIVE, TEAM PLAYER, RESPECT, GET SH!T DONE! AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC DUTIES: (ILLUSTRATIVE, NOT INCLUSIVE): Coach team to own all departmental processes Directly perform vehicle maintenance needs while working to train current and new employees on standard process and procedures. Duties will include but will not be limited to: Utilize excellent organizational skills and consistently clean and organize the shop to be in immaculate condition at all times Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings Disassemble and reassemble parts Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective Explain to clients their automotive problems and the repairs done on their vehicle Perform daily tasks in a safe and workman life manner in accordance with company policies Documentation of daily metrics in company system Fleet Maintenance duties including but not limited to: Handling all shop vendor relationships All Verizon connect data Setting up calendar schedule for services Staying up to date on fleet allocations with departments Tracking and reporting the following: Consumable spend Maintenance spend Licensing Insurance Updating of records for vehicle status changes GPS tracking system, Vehicle inspections Issuing of gas cards, etc. Review fleet policies with new hires, obtain signatures and document accordingly Work to drive efficiencies with proactive effort to reduce company costs Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and various tools and equipment when needed Identify areas for improvement/development and implement Perform daily tasks in a safe and workman life manner in accordance with company policies Management and documentation of daily metric success Miscellaneous duties as assigned **Work Schedule is Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm. Must be willing and able to take infrequent calls/texts outside of typical work schedule.** AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver's License*** REQUIRED At least 2+ years working in an automotive technician/mechanic position An individual possessing a friendly personality with the ability to GSD! (GET SH!T DONE!) Basic computer skills Competitive individual contributor who also loves to win as a team.
