Jobs

722 West 168th Street near Broadway, New York City NY

Description

We are conducting a research study to evaluate how sleep and wake habits and rest activity patterns in men and women influence blood pressure levels. We are enrolling men and non-pregnant women who are 40 years or older. Enrolled participants will complete a 45-min clinic exam in which height, weight, clinic BP, and a blood sample will be collected and questionnaires will be completed. You will also be provided with a sleep and activity tracker, an ambulatory blood pressure monitor, and a home blood pressure monitor and will receive instruction on their use over the next 7 consecutive days. Throughout the week, you will also need to complete online health questionnaires. At the end of the 7-day period, participants will return study equipment (sleep tracker and blood pressure monitors) and receive $100 monetary cash compensation. Participants also have the option to participate in a sub-study that involves additionally wearing a FreeStyle Libre blood sugar monitor for the 7-day period for an additional $50 monetary compensation. Please respond in an email if interested.
