Learn all about the various ways in which plants can be propagated in this hands-on workshop. With an emphasis on unusual edible plants, the Garden's Executive Director, Matthew Ross will guide you through the process of how you can turn your leftover veggie scraps into bountiful plants in your own home garden. We will be working with a variety of herbs, root crops, and seed materials which can be grown indoors in preparation of a planting later in the spring. Anticipate taking home a variety of new plants and a new perspective on what is possible through propagation. About our Instructor Matthew Ross is the Executive Director of The Botanic Garden at Historic Barns Park. Before coming to Traverse City, he worked as the Continuing Education Director at Longwood Gardens overseeing over 200 programs in horticulture, landscape design, and floristry. He is nationally recognized as leader in horticulture and gardening and has a BS and MS from Michigan State University in Horticulture Science with an emphasis in Landscape Design Construction Management and Urban Forestry respectively. Please note: In the event of a participant needing to cancel, a ticketing fee will be deducted from any refund issued.
