Description
We’ve listed him before but would like to really move him this time to someone who understands or is willing to learn about his species.
He was bought in 2022 at the Greenville reptile show from AHP Exotics (love them), and we were told he was likely a male and between 6-12 years old, wild caught. We struggled to get him to eat for a few months but he seems to be doing better now. He is fed boiled eggs mostly and offered other things like canned dog food. He is in a bioactive tank so I believe he is also likely eating his isopods, although I had no proof of this, it’s just an assumption.
He is calm while being held and has never tried to bite or be aggressive. He’s definitely an interesting pet for anyone’s reptile collection. He stays hidden most of the time, so we have to dig him out every few weeks to check on him. I noticed the last time I pulled him out he had a few marks on his scales, it looks like he bumped/scraped himself on something in the tank.
He’ll need at minimum a 4x2x2 tank. He loves to stay buried and is happier with forest floor or bioactive soil. He’s very tolerant of being held but I wouldn’t say he enjoys it. We just want him to go to a good home. If you’re interested, please email me and I’ll answer any questions and share his rehoming fee.
