This year marks the 37th anniversary of National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD). NGWSD celebrates and inspires girls and women to play, to be active and to realize their full potential. This year Bowdoin Athletics will partner with Strong Girls United (SGU), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower girls to be strong, confident, and resilient through physical activity alongside mental health and well-being activities. We encourage girls in grades 1 – 5 to please register to join Bowdoin Athletics and SGU on February 4th for a morning of team-based activities, empowerment stations, and sport specific skill sessions led by Bowdoin student-athletes. Participants: Girls in grades 1 - 5 Date & Time: February 4th from 9am – 12pm Location: William Farley Field House at Bowdoin College (GPS address: 35 Watson Drive, Brunswick, ME 04011) Note: When registering, a parent/legal guardian must sign off on the two included release forms. Additionally, please join us in the afternoon to cheer on the Women’s Basketball and Women’s Ice Hockey teams at 3pm (no registration required to attend games).
