Description
Come join a 1-hour dance fitness experience that will leave you invigorated, rejuvenated, and excited to come back for more on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at 12:15pm at the Poulsbo Athletic Club. I'm Hillary Bassett Ross and I teach a dance fitness format called Rizzmic. This incredible class was the fitness craze I never knew I was looking for, and I'm so happy to be able to share that with others. I'm introducing it to the Kitsap community in this sample class, and I hope you'll come out and give it at try! If you have zero dance experience or feel awkward about trying, this is the class for you. This will be the first time Rizzmic is taught in Kitsap county, so you'll be alongside other total newbies. ________ Created for absolute beginners with no dance background, Rizzmic® is a dance fitness format blending dance styles from hip hop to disco to jazz and beyond—creating an all-American dance experience that just so happens to feel like the most fun dance party you’ve ever been to. Most of the class uses music from today, but upbeat, popular songs from past decades are sprinkled in. The class is designed for beginners, starting each song with really basic footwork, and then building into a stylized dance. Experienced dancers pick up the choreography a bit quicker, but all skill levels have an incredible time. Each song includes roughly 4 main movement patterns, demonstrated by the instructor as the song progresses. Once the steps have been introduced, each movement gets a little more stylized and adds a little more flavor. This is why it's possible for someone with ZERO dance training to be able to easily enjoy the class alongside those who have more experience. The music plays continuously, creating a high intensity interval training (HIIT) that targets all muscle groups. You will sweat, you will challenge your coordination, and you will tap into a part of yourself you likely haven't seen in years. What strikes participants is the pure joy experienced in the class. The playful, fun movements make you smile, get you loose, and melt the stress away. A wildly addicting way to stay fit, Rizzmic leaves participants glowing for hours (and coming back for more).
