More to come on Rabbi Haber later. Rabbi Dr. Geoffrey J. Haber served in the US Navy Reserves Chaplain Corps for 12 years beginning at the age of 50 in response to a need for Jewish Chaplains, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander. As the Chaplain Corps covers all sea services, he completed three tours with the Marines, two with the Navy and two with the Coast Guard. He currently serves with the USCG Auxiliary covering District 9, Sector Buffalo and east along the Great Lakes and St, Lawrence River. He joined the Worcester Red Sox, known as the Pawtucket Red Sox at the time, as president on November 5, 2015 after many years as Executive Vice President of the Boston Red Sox. In a vast career in which he has also worked with the Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig, "Dr. Charles" has helped revamp and re-energize the WooSox front office while leading the effort to aggressively reach out to the community to restore and enhance bonds of connection. He has also been instrumental in the community engagement of Central Massachusetts, including the development of Worcester’s Polar Park and the relocation of the franchise to the city in 2021.
