The Moving Child Films teach about the interrelationship of children's physical, emotional, social and mental development. Our stories explore the importance of dynamic movement in a child's wellbeing and offer best practices for parents, caregivers, and teachers of children. Integrating approaches from diverse movement therapies. The Moving Child Films share best practices to support children's naturally unfolding movement ability from in the womb through elementary school. Join us for the first in a series of three films. The Moving Child I: Supporting Early Development Through Movement educates about the importance of dynamic movement in child development (age 0-7) from the perspective of bonding, social & emotional development, brain growth & physical health. Features a variety of child development experts including Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Suzi Tortora, Myrna Martin, Martha Eddy, Kalila Homann, Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen, Dr. Annie Brook & others. Lunch will be provided! Join us either in-person or virtually at this First 5 Institute learning opportunity! Professionals and Providers serving young children and their families – feed your belly & feed your brain! The 0-to-5 Smart Lunch features experts and speakers, some local, some from afar, addressing a variety of early childhood topics and concerns. Lunch is provided – come learn, have lunch and network! 30 spots are available for each 0-to-5 Smart Lunch. Register early to hold a spot.
