Description

The State of Connecticut under Governor Lamont recently enacted Executive Order No. 9R which the City of Milford will participate in the 90-day, interest free, deferment of taxes for individuals and businesses that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.Individuals and businesses must submit an application with accompanying proof by deadline February 1, 2021.  The tax deferral program will apply to real estate, motor vehicle, and sewer charges or assessments which would otherwise be due January 1, 2021.  If one applies and is approved the January 1, 2021 taxes that normally have a grace period of February 1, 2021 will be extended to April 1, 2021. Residents who wish to apply for this program can visit the Milford Tax Collector's website, call 203-783-3217, or if you have extenuating circumstances may visit the office for an application.  The Milford Ct Tax Collector's Office is currently open Monday-Friday 8:30am-2:00pm for walk-ins.
