New for 2023! We are thrilled to announce a new initiative in partnership with Trixie's Salon & Spa. Fems Give Back will be set up similarly to First Friday Coffee Connections. A representative from a non-profit geared towards women or young girls will be invited to speak about their organization. Coffee will be served. Tickets for this event are $10 with the option to donate more. All proceeds will be donated to the non-profitAn opportunity to donate more will be available the day of the event or via Eventbrite.Business and Non-Business Members are encouraged to attend. February Non-Proft | The Beacon We are thrilled to welcome Melissa Vine Executive Director of The Beacon. She will be sharing all about this resource in our community. The Beacon provides a residential home and programming for women who have faced trauma, abuse, substance use, incarceration, and homelessness. Clients collaborate with a case manager to address mental health, relationships, financial literacy, education/career development, substance use prevention, and living in community. We are excited to be launching jail diversion in order to provide support rather than punishment for women in our community who are facing mental illness and a traumatic past.
