The community is invited to participate in the 1st Annual Black History Month Quiz Bowl. This free community Black History Quiz Bowl event is a friendly competition among teams that can include youth and adults from school groups, churches, and community groups. This event provides the opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions that Black Americans have made in America. Each team will compete to show their knowledge of national and local black history with a special emphasis on black inventors. Registration Deadline: Wednesday February 22, 2023.Once registered, teams will be given a study guide.***** Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. **** Church groups, school groups, youth groups, athletic teams, and others are encouraged to form teams and participate in this fun completion. The Black History Month Quiz Bowl Explosion will feature a afternoon of fun with food, drinks, music and an opportunity to shop at the EbonyFest Buy Black Marketplace. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history.
