Your child’s first few years are so important! Learn how to make the most of them with Active Parenting: First Five Years, a program for parents and other caregivers. Written by parenting expert (and dad) Dr. Michael Popkin, this course will show you how to nurture your child with a “just right” combination of freedom and nonviolent discipline. Millions of parents have achieved success with Active Parenting—and you can, too! The workshop is divided into four sessions and will occur on February 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th from 10:30am-12:30pm. Please note each session may not take the entire two hours. The sessions will include the cirriculum being taught as well as interactive videos. We are hoping as many parents as possible can join us; as this is an added benefit to being a Head Start Parent. Refreshments will be provided. Childcare is also available for those with younger children. It is important that parents attend each session of the workshop. Parents who complete the entire session will be awarded a Certificate of Completion as well as being added into our raffle. This will be the first of three workshops we will be providing this school year; the remaining two workshops will be provided in the evening and on the weekend for those parents that cannot attend these hours.
