Description
This gig is repetitive in nature and takes 33 hours over 8 weeks—2 days per week after training. Your route driving distance would normally be under 6 miles per day. After you start with training, I pay $30 per hour. I am using this stand as groundwork for possible contracted opportunities down the line. Some of the pay is held back 3 weeks because I am looking for people who can last the entire commitment.
What you have to be able to do is go mail post to mail post in your car inserting the day’s Journal newspaper in the plastic tube, through your car window. In addition, walking is involved 15% of the time.
Your part of the route starts between 2 and 4 AM. You do not have to worry too much about getting up to speed if you can at least thoroughly learn your first 33 customer stops in no more than 4-5 runs. I will transition you to getting things done in sufficient time, and without much strain, you can cover 50 customers per hour.
As you improve your lot, in the future you might be relied on for work involving the transferring of newspapers from one team member to another.
Have a place in mind for meeting me before calling if this seems right for you. It could be your local Panera, coffee shop, or library. I will show you documents on what the route is like and explain how the paper counts work.
