Company Description: 100 Times Farm is a certified organic farm in Boulder County, Colorado. The farm is in its third year of production growing diversified vegetables and flowers for distribution through our CSA models and downtown Longmont farm stand. We are now hiring for the 2023 season and are looking for the perfect candidate to oversee our greenhouse management, residential flower garden maintenance and installation clients, and flower CSA. Job Description: The Greenhouse Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of seeding, propagation, and seedling production. The Greenhouse Manager will work independently and with a small crew, when workload requires. This role could be full-time OR part-time, seasonal position. Responsibilities: Oversee annual seed, plant and plug selection based on annual sales and production goals. Seed starting/germination/propagation Properly watering seedlings, plants, shrubs, and trees Monitoring all plants for pest and disease issues Following planting and seeding schedule for field production Monitoring and maintaining greenhouse and perennial flower field environments Communicating labor needs/managing+training a small crew in greenhouse best practices Greenhouse maintenance and minor construction of greenhouse equipment Greenhouse inventory management Maintain records of greenhouse productions and financials, manage P & L’s of greenhouse business and residential services Helping with other farm tasks as needed Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience in greenhouse production Great understanding of best germination practices Vast knowledge of establishing perennial plantings Basic understanding of proper use of power tools and maintenance Valid driver’s license, willingness to drive farm vehicles as needed Able to work quickly and efficiently without supervision Able to receive and provide constructive feedback Highly organized Loves working on a team and has an insatiable curiosity for systems improvement Has the confidence to lead and the humility to grow Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer literate and willing to utilize our software tools Physically able to endure repetitive motions i.e. squatting and lifting 50 lbs. Able to work in all weather conditions and greenhouse climates Knowledge of native, xeric, perennials Nice to Have: English and Spanish proficiency CAD design experience Knowledge of soil science
