Unpaid This is an internship role for those with PR background or an interest in fashion, no pay What I'm looking for: I am a local designer that has an opportunity to head to New York Fashion Week to showcase my work so I am building a team of creatives to supporting me in maximizing this opportunity that I have been blessed with. While this is an internship role, I am looking for dedicated, grounded individuals who are looking to grow with a start up fashion brand that is making progress in the city. If you want to learn the "in’s and out’s" of how a designer prepares for Fashion Week in a boutique setting, this opportunity is for you. TIMING / HOURS: Beginning immediately for at least 2 full days per week, or more, leading into New York Fashion Week Mos of our meetings with be conducted via Zoom Here are a primary goals: 1. Create buzz and pitch to local Press to create anticipation for my show in New York 2. Plan a party/ popup about a week New York Fashion Week to sell PLEASE NOTE: Only the top candidates will be contacted for an interview. Candidates in need of school credit are welcome. This is NOT a paid internship. An experience in PR is a plus! QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Self-motivated and ability to work w/ minimal supervision at times Organized Focused Ability to multi-task & prioritize Proficient in Mac/PC, Word, Excel, Photoshop, InDesign, email, etc. Team Player and good interpersonal skills Excellent follow-up skills Must be VERY trustworthy and reliable Solid communications skills References are REQUIRED! RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting with all aspects of preparation for NYFW productions Office administrative work Assisting with planning the party/popup after from NYFW Assisting with pitching to local news, blogs, and other press Inviting influencers to attend WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: How fashion shows and presentations really work Basic production and organizational skills for fashion events Behind the scenes look and process of a designer working to build a brand
