Struggling to feed yourself and your pets? Found an abandoned animal and can't keep it? Waggin' Tail Rescue may be able to help. Shelters are overflowing and owners who have no other options are abandoning or dumping their pets at an alarming rate because there are virtually no shelters right now that can take owner surrendered pets. Before you leave your furry friend tied to a fence post and walk away or box up those unwanted puppies and leave them in the cold, please reach out to us first. We are a privately run, foster based all volunteer rescue that may be able to help you. We are also limited on space but we can take in abandoned or surrendered animals on a case by case basis. We CANNOT investigate animal cruelty concerns...we are not a government entity...please contact local animal control or the Sheriff's office for that. We are not here to judge. If you are willing to reach out, we are willing to try and help. We are not just limited to dogs and cats. We can also take in livestock (again, on a limited basis). We have cared for pigs, sheep, goats, ponies, rabbits, chickens, rats, guinea pigs, turtles, etc. and many have found their forever homes. We do not euthanize unless an animal is too ill and its quality of life is too poor to continue. Otherwise, our animal companions have a happy place to live until they find their forever home. We can't promise we will have an immediate opening and we are unable to take in vicious animals, but we will do our best to accommodate your pet in our rescue. Please don't abandon your pet in the hope that someone else will find and care for it. Often, these poor creatures never do.
