Got Back “Got Back” is a Beatles Tribute Band playing songs performed either live on stage, in the studio ( Twickenham) or TV recordings (Ed Sullivan). From the famous US and world tours to their latter years of Getting Back to to their live rock and roll roots on top of Abbey Records studio for the famous Roof Top concert, Got Back replicates songs The Beatles performed live. After seeing us live, you will have Gotten or…Got Back..! Song Selection Songs focus on selections they played live from 1962- to the roof performance. The set list contains songs in rotation covering this period. Musician fit/tools, skills and abilities: No wigs needed, previous live experience, ability to have high energy stage presence, play and sing well with your instruments and the ability to harmonize well (Paul, George) with John with the right instrumentation “tools”. As the Beatles performed the key live shows from 1961 - 1966, instruments to cover songs from that period are primarily desired to replicate the sounds. Seeking musicians that can cover their respective parts as more of the rule vs exception. Applying this approach will accomplish the ability to move the band along quicky, efficiently and allow band members that are singing lead to cover intended guitar/bass parts. Great fun positive attitude is highly desired!:). Bandmates Needed: Seeking the following Musicians with suggested instruments-: Paul - Can sing lead (tenor), harmonize well, Hofner style Bass would be great, and ideally have the ability to play piano when need to cover songs Like Hey Jude (was recorded live at Twickenham) George - Can Sing and harmonize, have guitars that can cover the Gretsch ground, a Casio also would be great with a Vox Amp. Ringo - Can sing and have a nice trap kit ( course a Ludwig would be glorious:)). About the “John” role: Got back started with forming the John role. The member filling John is the current founding member singing John’s parts and plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, harp and piano/keys as needed. He has a Ric 325, Casino, Gretsch, Martin/Taylor’s, Strat, LP, Variax, Vox AC 15 and 30 and a Full PA,. He has over decades of live performance experience, played on large stages/venues, festivals, concerts, weddings, private parties, breweries, wineries, etc. He has been fortunate to play with world renowned musicians and rock and roll hall of famers. “John” has many contacts in the industry for booking opportunities. Rehearsal Location- Times/Performance Frequency: Rehearsal Location Times - Fully equipped (Amp, kit, stand, pa, et.) studio located between Rochester(30 min) and Syracuse (50 min). Just bring your sticks, voices and guitars. Weekly rehesearls. Performance Frequency - Goal of 2x a month.
