During this city-sponsored event, Ms. Jackson will be signing copies of her book ‘We Were There: The Story of an All American Black School During the Desegregation Era,’ which will be available for purchase at a discounted price of $15 (they are currently $20 on Amazon). She will join efforts and talents with local members of Wagoner’s Black community to pay homage to her pre-desegregation era childhood school, Lincoln, to celebrate Black History Month at Wagoner History Center.
