Join Fellowship of Christian Counselors (FCC) at our February 10 Meeting We will be IN PERSON at Grace Pointe . We will record the meeting for viewing afterwards. "Understanding and Treating Scrupulosity in Religious Clients"Navigating Exposure and Response prevention can be challenging and confusing for both the therapist and client. One of the core features of obsessive compulsive disorder is the fear of uncertainty. For clients with moral OCD (scrupulosity) Exposure and Response Prevention therapy can create confusion for clients as they often cannot understand whether therapy is violating their deeply held spiritual beliefs. Therapists can help clients navigate ERP therapy using a collaborative value-based approach. OBJECTIVES1. Participants will describe the unique features of scrupulosity.2. Participants will identify key aspects of psychoeducation for scrupulosity.3. Participants will identify interventions to manage accommodations in the context of scrupulosity.4. Participants will be able help clients construct exposures using a collaborative value-based approach and identify the importance of response prevention.Fellowship is at 730am.
