1924 Silent Film Classic staring Johnny Hines & Doris May.A young Irish immigrant gets a job as a conductor on a streetcar and fights off an attempt by crooks to take over the company, all the while pursuing the boss's beautiful daughter. Mission Inn Kimball OrganRobert YorkPianist, Organist, Arranger, Composer, Vocal Coach, Musical DirectionRobert York, B.M, M.M. began his career at the age of 14 as a church organist and concert artist in Portland, Oregon where he completed a Baccalaureate of Music in Piano Performance at Marylhurst University. He relocated to Los Angeles having performed for such notables as President Ronald and Nancy Reagan, Bob Hope, Patti LaBelle, Phyllis Diller, Cindy Crawford, Richard Gere, Steve Allen, Tippi Hedron, performed with Shirley Jones, Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis Jr.,Ruta Lee and for the rock band Anthrax. He returned to academic study, completing a Master of Music degree with a specialization in Organ Performance at California State University Long Beach which included ongoing study in Paris, France with Sophie-Veronique Choplin of St. Sulpice church, and made his European concert debut in Poland in 2009 and Paris 2010 where he continues to perform and study each summer. He made his concert debut in Belgium in 2016 with a concert tour scheduled for 2018, and continues to be solo artist on piano for the series Piano sur la dune in Noirmoutier, France. As Musical Director, Mr. York has conducted and provided musical direction and arrangements for shows in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Laguna Beach, Orange County, Long Beach, and Los Angeles, including the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. He is currently at work on compositions for chorus and orchestra, and one of his choral works was recently featured on a live national broadcast throughout Poland.Mission Inn Hotel & Spa began as a quaint adobe boarding house in 1876, becoming a full-service hotel in the early 1900s. Opened by Frank Miller, it expanded in 1903 with over 200 guestrooms and the addition of the Mission Wing, built in Mission-Revival style while incorporating architectural features from more than 20 different California missions. Three more wings materialized as demand grew, including the Cloister, Spanish Wing and the Rotunda Wing, completed in 1931. Miller filled the hotel with valuable items from across the globe, including artwork, furniture and religious relics. Mission Inn still houses the oldest bell in Christendom, dating back to 1247.
