Female Bearded Dragon, Habitat, Supplies and Roach Colony

Description

Our 12 year old is not responsible enough to take care of this Lizard or the feeder insects. This Bearded Dragon is a female about 1-1/2 years old. I have personally been taking care of this little girl for weeks now because my son is not responsible enough for it. We got her from a guy in South Bend about 6 months ago and my son promised he would take care of her, but he isn’t capable at 12 years of age. First $300 takes everything. She is very friendly but shy from the lack of attention and needs someone who can take care of her and spend more time with her. I paid $200 for the lizard and habitat but spent several hundred dollars more on additional supplies, lights, roach colony, controls. There’s probably $600-$800 invested in all this. I think the front opening habitat and supplies alone would be 3-4 hundred dollars without a lizard in there. Then add the price of a female dragon.. the habitat for the roaches including the temperature control, heating pad and the colony themselves would be another couple hundred or more if you’re having to buy feeder roaches.. so for $300, you’re getting a deal here, I just need to find her a decent home. If the add is still here in 2 weeks, I’ll be open to offers or reduce the price. The Dubia Roach colony is several thousand roaches strong and thriving (way more insects than the lizard can eat). In fact, I have another ad here on CL trying to sell off some of them. Our lizard may be depressed because she isn’t interested in eating roaches of any size, or she could be in brumation for the winter months - I don’t know, but I am concerned for her. My son has a “class pet” at his school with a male bearded dragon there and the school teacher will let my kid bring home the male dragon home on weekends and holidays. That male lizard and this female got along very well together in the same habitat when my son would bring him home, so I think she will do fine with another mate for her habitat. The male from school loves these roaches and is in heaven when we put him with her in the feeder area. When we first got the female 6 months ago she would eat 4-5 of them a day but as I said, she has stoped eating them the last 2 months. We put her and the male in a large feeder bin with a handful of juvenile roaches (thinking that he would show her what to do with them), and he certainly does. After he eats about 6-8 roaches, we put the lizards back in her habitat. The roach colony has a temperature controlled habitat to maintain 85° - 95° and as I said, they are really thriving in there. We feed them table scraps and fruit, so hopefully you can provide a decent home for them and have other animals that will enjoy these insects. In additional to all of the supplies, are 2 brand new Bearded Dragon harness / leash included. We lizard outside in the back yard last summer 2 or 3 times and that was about it, so these are like new. I think they were $20 and there are extra pieces for them in case your other Dragons are different sizes. Call, text or email any time. Texting is preferred 6 1 6 two nine five 0 nine 9 9
