Join us for a Girls Rock ride with Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing at the Swift St. Courtyard next month, where all good rides start and end. Saturday, February 11. After check-in, our exclusive raffle and big group photo, we’ll break into smaller groups by level, and roll out to Wilder and UCSC trails. Pre-ride SCMB is providing a light breakfast and coffee. Special guest REI will be there with product info and mechanic support. Don’t miss our signature raffle with prizes from both SCMB and REI! Post-ride, SCMB is offering Girls Rock riders $1 off their organic brews all day after the ride — yum! And we’ll have a reserved space for us to kick back while we recount the day’s adventures. ALL LEVELS WELCOME! Registration is mandatory for all riders, volunteers, guides. At registration, you will be asked for your ride level. Not sure about your level? Schedule 9:00 - 9:45 am — Check-in, add a Clif Bar to your pack 9:30am — Volunteer guide meeting 9:45 am — Mandatory rider meeting, followed by raffle with prizes from generous donors 10:00 am — Break into groups by level, roll out to our fav Santa Cruz trails (we'll be near Wilder and UCSC!) 12:00 – 2:00pm — Riders return to SCMB to refuel, shop & socialize. Return times will vary by group. Location & Parking We will meet at Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing (SCMB) in the bustling Swift Street Courtyard complex, 402 Ingalls St #27, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Please use free street parking on Ingalls or Swift so that the lot is available for patrons while we ride. Bike or carpool to the event, and ask for an extra raffle ticket! Important Reminders -Health: If you don’t feel well, please stay home. Bring a mask to wear if you cannot socially distance. -Safety: Mountain biking is a dangerous sport. When you come riding with us, we assume that you have reviewed risks and accept responsibility for your personal safety. Learn more. Bring your helmet, eye protection, water, sunscreen/long sleeves/long socks; and a mountain bike in good working order -Prepare to ride: MTB takes energy and strength, so eat breakfast, pack water and snacks for your ride with us. -Don't be sorry! Bring locks to secure bikes after the ride; do not leave valuables unattended -Sorry, no demos this month.
