Join Forward Pinellas and the City of Oldsmar for “Bike Your City 2023 - Oldsmar” on Friday, March 10th at 8:30AM, with the opening ceremony and group ride beginning at 9:00AM. This event is a group bike ride to celebrate Florida Bicycle Month, as well as highlight the bicycle and trail network throughout the beautiful City of Oldsmar! The event is free! The first 100 participants receive a free event t-shirt, and registered participants will receive bike lights, water, and refreshments. Minor bike maintenance and repairs will be provided by Bike Sport. The event opens to the public at 8:30AM located at R.E. Olds Park in Oldsmar, FL. The opening ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00AM and ride will begin immediately after. The ride will include an easy and slow guided 6.5 mile roundtrip tour of Oldsmar. View the Tour Route Here. Tables will be set up at R.E. Olds Park which will feature safety information and resources. After registering for the event, you will receive more details about the event. About Bike Your City: Bike Your City is a free, slow-paced, family-friendly bike ride that showcases the many beautiful sights and wonderful amenities around Pinellas County. On this guided and slow, six-and-a-half-mile tour, riders will learn about roadway safety and trail etiquette while exploring local amenities which you’ll find beautiful, exciting, and surprising. Important: Please review the EVENT WAIVER. Please note: Parents or guardians must register their child in advance and the child must be supervised by parents or guardians at all times during the entire event. There will not be lessons on bike riding at this event. All bike riders must be able to complete a slow 6.5-mile bike ride physically and safely. Riding facilities vary from wide roads with street parking, narrow neighborhood streets, shared-use paths, and crossing a major road. Participants should expect to encounter other people walking, bicycling, and driving during the ride. All participants are encouraged to wear a helmet, and participants under 16 years old are required to wear a helmet in accordance with Florida Law
