Description
If you or someone you love has recently left a detox or treatment facility for drugs or alcohol or refuses to go to a facility, I can help.
I know what you're going through as this road is a familiar one. I know what it's like to throw everything away for a substance, what it takes to get sober, maintaining that sobriety, and what it takes to build from below zero.
A sober companion helps clients maintain total abstinence or harm reduction from addiction, and to establish healthy routines at home or after checking out of treatment or detox facilities. A companion helps with the environmental factors of addiction by helping adjust the nutrition, fitness, lifestyle, and physical home of an individual. It also helps to have someone to talk to as there are many feelings and emotions co-occurring.
Every situation is different, so I adjust accordingly. Some folks need me physically present 24/7 for a week because they refuse to go to detox. Other folks, need me present once a week to attend an event with them. Some folks don't want me present and want to talk on the phone a few times a week. Whatever your circumstance relating to addiction and ending the insanity, I can be an asset on your road to sobriety and clarity.
I am intentional with the goal of helping the individual maintain sobriety and abide by any guidelines or rules laid out by the family or individual requesting the help through a contract.
I wish I read this over a decade ago when I was fresh out of detox for the final time, this would've prevented months of nonsensical ways of dealing with new emotions, feelings, and consequences of previous actions and behaviors.
