Are you overwhelmed by the amount of need in our city? If you desire to help, or wonder how to best interact with your unhoused neighbors you encounter in daily life, join us for this workshop: Explore the realities of why people experience poverty and homelessness, as well as the barriers that exist within us and outside of us that hinder the beautiful and important work of coming alongside our neighbors with compassion. We'll end with practical ways to help us better love neighbors living in circumstances of homelessness, mental illness, addictions, trauma, and isolation. Sacred Streets is a coalition of local churches in North Seattle working to be a loving, compassionate presence in the lives of neighbors living on the street through training, advocacy and accompaniment.
