In this Somatic Embodiment class we will untether from the thinking brain to deeply inhabit the soma. Play and exploration connects us to the senses as we unravel the stories held within the body. Using embodiment practices plus breath work, meditation, and sound we will restore the sacred brain/ body connection. The environment of this class is warm, nurturing, healing, and safe for every soma.
* No previous experience necessary. Wear clothes that allow you to feel comfortable and present in your soma. Bring your yoga mat.
Teacher Bio: Crysta Bloom, The Kind Cocoa Mama, is a trauma informed Somatic Healer who centralizes body awareness as a primary agent for healing, taking the therapeutic experience beyond words. She holds certifications in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and Somatic Attachment Therapy, as well as being a therapeutic yoga teacher. Crysta approaches her work with the belief that we have bodily wisdom that holds all the answers we need to self heal. When we tap into this benevolent knowing our body becomes a shelter to hold it all. We create more safety in ourselves for expansion and deeper access to breath. We find our way back home to our essential nature.
