Re-ignite Your Passion Women’s Retreat Saturday, February 4th with Check-in at 8:45, events starting 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Visioning For Passions Visioning is a transformative process allowing you to tap into your inner wisdom and intuition. From your own rich wellspring of knowledge, you will discover or refine your life vision and purpose including the unique gifts you bring to the world. Experiential activities facilitated in a relaxed, positive and fun setting will provide a fresh perspective on what’s important in your life, commitment to sound and inspiring intentions (goals) and inspiration to live your life on purpose. Mindful Hatha Flow Yoga This style of yoga encourages you to fully experience your body and become aware of how the poses affect your mental state. Our practice is gentle and suitable for all levels including those new to yoga. Breath work along with deep relaxation techniques will be explored. We will be practicing outdoors in the embrace of nature’s majestic beauty. Horses as Healers and Guides Horses are known to be a perfect mirror of our souls, offering immediate insight into what thoughts and intentions we are generating and creating at any given moment. Partnering with horses allows us to explore and discover things about ourselves we would not ordinarily realize. Playful in nature, horses open us up to experiencing the joy of living in the present moment. Allow the experiential activities with our retreat horses to empower your vision and evoke your passion. Delight in the dance with these magnificent creatures! No horse experience is necessary. Art Journaling Let your creative side play! Art journaling is a great way to tap into and express your feelings and emotions by drawing on the non-linear right side of your brain. Unleash your creativity using collage paper, magazine pictures, your words, pens, pencils and crayons. You will take home a visual representation of your vision that is a powerful tool to manifesting your dreams. Artistic talent is unimportant. It is all about the fun and joy of expressing yourself. Location Beautiful and private Forget Me Not Farm, in the Westside of Santa Rosa, is the magical location for our retreat. Set in an outcropping of orchards, gardens, farm animals and our equine partners. Re-ignite Your Passion is an outdoor experience allowing us to reconnect to our natural environment and state of being. This is a time for reflection, observing the multitude of animals, and engaging with the horses bringing us back to peace and balance. (An Equine Assisted Learning and Growth Method, Standing Strong with Horses) She holds certifications in Equine Coaching, Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy, Therapeutic Riding Instructor, Center Riding Instructor and Professional Equine Trainer in the "True Nature of the Horse." My work with horses has been a life long journey and passion, which started some 40 years ago at an equine rescue facility. The nurturing and rehabilitating of these majestic animals jump started my understanding of how they are so mistreated and so misunderstood. Their hearts are forgiving and willing to shift in trying to move past emotional trauma. This was an eye opening observation to the lessons I learned with horses. I continue to work with horses and owners in relationship training to teach the "True Nature of the Horse", helping the human to develop an understanding from the horses prospective. While working in the horse and human relationship field, I started looking at other areas that horses were making an impact on personal growth and health. I personally moved into this area of working with youth and adults on physical, mental and emotional levels. Over the last 20 years, I have worked in the method of Equine Assisted Learning with organizations and therapists. This work has allowed me to hone my skills and knowledge to develop programs, to train staff and to lead facilitation teams. I am living my dream and mission by contributing to the emotional and social growth, with participants in engaging, stimulating, equine activities that have current real-life content Ruth Heal is a registered yoga teacher with 14 years experience.
