Art in the Park: Native Floral Embroidery

Meet outside the Urban Ecology Center. Once gathered, the group will go on a short nature walk to gain some inspiration for the embroidery activity. Then we'll return to the outdoor picnic tables to arrange materials and learn the basics of embroidery. We'll use images of native plants [since it's still technically winter!] and basic techniques to try our hand at this classic art form. No Art Experience Necessary!!! Encounter the Savannah Restoration and Wildscape Demonstration Garden and learn a little bit about these unique features here at Phil Hardberger Park.  What To Expect Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring your own phone to capture photos, and feel free to bring a camera or binoculars too!For Teens and Adults who like to be outdoors and be creative! Weather permitting.Class size is limited. Registration required.
