The Flint Hills Regional Council (FHRC) is embarking on a planning process through late 2022 and early 2023 to produce a 5-year Sustainability Plan to ensure the continuation and expansion of FHRC. Read about the project at https://lab2.future-iq.com/fhrc-sustainability-plan-and-roadmap/ The first main step in the Flint Hills Regional Council Sustainability Plan and Roadmap project was the Think-Tank. The second step was the Stakeholder Survey which ran until 31 January 2023. The next step of the process will be the five Focus Groups sessions, which are being held Friday 17 February through to Wednesday 22 February. Each focus group will concentrate on a particular topic which is critical to the future of the Flint Hills region. These 90-minute facilitated sessions aim to build a deeper understanding of each topic and the implications for the future of the Flint Hills region, looking out to 2030. A key part of the planning process, the Focus Groups are critical to the forming of the Strategic Pillars and actions which will be included within the final Sustainability Plan and Roadmap.
