Many families who are birthing in the hospital feel nervous, worried or anxious about how their experience will go and wonder about how to avoid unnecessary interventions. As a Birth Professional who's served and supported families in our community for nearly 6 years, I am passionate about educating and empowering families to know their rights, options and practical, down to earth, real life tools to navigate the medical model of care with power. In this workshop, you will learn: The nature of how the medical model of care is designed How to collaborate and advocate for care that is focused on YOUWhat your rights and options are around common interventions and routine care protocols we see in the hospital system todayA powerful tool to support your yes or no decisions on recommendations, protocols, procedures, interventions How to tap into your powerful intuition in support of your decision-making The registration fee includes partners/support people. Their attendance is not required though highly suggested. All proceeds will go towards a scholarship fund for those seeking Childbirth Education and/or Doula Support.
