Plus, you start earning an income—while still in school—when you intern at either a car dealership or auto repair facility. The Automotive Technical Training Program is housed at Broward College's AutoNation Automotive Training Center and is fully loaded and customized for the ultimate automotive learning experience. It’s designed to look just like a car dealership and is built to challenge you. It has everything needed for training the finest automotive technicians anywhere. Expand your knowledge of cars with: 8 new car bays 10,000 square feet of space Late model vehicles to work on High-speed wireless computer classrooms 21st century computerized diagnostic and technical equipment Dedicated areas of instruction and fully-operational parts department You will receive comprehensive hands-on instruction and training in all areas of ASE Certification, including: Brakes, Engine Repair, Engine Performance, Suspension and Steering, Heating and Air Conditioning, Electrical/Electronic Systems, Manual Drive Train and Axles Automatic Transmission/Transaxle. Broward College’s Automotive Programs also offer the chance to “Earn as You Learn” with internships. If selected, BC Automotive students can receive a salary from a local dealership or auto repair facility in an intern position under the supervision of a master technician.
