Available February 1 or later + ongoing I have acquired a 5000 sq. ft. wood and metal shop art studio for sculptors located on the 2nd floor of Neumann Leathers in Hoboken. The space is divided into a wood shop and metal shop with a spray booth. I am taking over the space from old friends who ran their design business there for more than 25 years. I am looking for sculptors who want a serious place to work and can handle about $1000.00 per month to have access to equipment and are willing to be patient as I create the optimal solution for the space. Perhaps I'll create some individual work areas or keep things wide open. Studio shares will be structured like a membership. The shop has 2 milling machines, lathe, cold saw, two TIG machines, MIG machine, bender, air compressor, 2 table saws, panel saw, mitre saw, and much more. Some tools will be retired or sold off. All members will have to sign an HHA and probably will have to carry their own insurance. I assume I will just do a month-to-month license agreement for members. The floor and ceiling are wood and concrete. There are numerous grounded electrical sockets and windows. Private bathroom. 24 hour access, freight elevators and passenger elevator are just outside the studio.Wi-fi and all utilities are included. That's right, all utilities. Good heat in the winter. Air-conditioning is sort of vague, but present. It is very much a shop space. Work only. This is not a live/work space. The building is I-2 zoned. The neighborhood is very safe. There are plenty of good places to eat and hang out within a few minutes walk from the building. Parking for tenants is in a lot on the property, which is enclosed by a fence.
