Drums and Second Guitar for '80s / '90s Cover Band

Description

We are looking to replace our drummer and add a second guitarist to our "MTV-era" cover band. We mostly play alt/pop/punk/rock from the '80s and early '90s, but we've got a few cool surprises from the '60s and '70s. Although we both just turned 50, we're not a "dad band" that plays the same ol' stuff with no energy or stage presence. We put a lot of thought into finding songs that most cover bands don't play but are still familiar to audiences. That said, your age (or for that matter, your gender, race or politics) are not important to us. We just wanna meet other musicians that are as into putting on an entertaining show and having fun doing it as we are! US: We are both 9-to-5 career guys that both have complete home studios...PAs, drums, amps and everything needed to boogie. We usually practice once a week after work and on the weekend whenever we can. YOU (DRUMMER): You'd be replacing our beloved drummer that is a working professional, which unfortunately means he can't be as committed to rehearsing or available for gigs as we want. YOU (GUITAR): Ideally, you play lead guitar and want to tackle most of the solos so I can focus on rhythm. You also are hopefully a "tone chaser" that enjoys getting the sound right for the diverse range of material we play. But, if you are more of a rhythm guitarist (like me), then we'd combine forces to create a "bigger" and more layered sound (or give me a better platform for when I do play solos). But hey, enough of my yakkin'...let's boogie! :-)
