The first ever Crater Lake Old Fashioned Face-Off will take place at our Downtown Bend Tasting Room on February 26th. The original Old Fashioned was rye whiskey, a sugar cube dissolved with a splash of water, and a couple dashes of bitters served over ice. As makers of the tastiest whiskies in America, we decided that there was no better way to prove it than to have another cocktail competition. We will be requiring all cocktails made for the competition to include at minimum: Any Crater Lake Whiskey Sugar in any form Bitters (Amaro is acceptable) Any other spirits or ingredients are fair game as long as the Crater Lake Whiskey is the majority ingredient. The Old Fashioned may be one of the most traditional American cocktails, but we want to see you get creative with these! This cocktail competition, like our past ones, will be an in-person, real-time cocktail making event where competitors will create their cocktails in front of a panel of three judges and an audience of spectators. The preliminary voting period is from January 30- February 13. The main event will be held on February 26th from 1-4pm at our Downtown Bend Tasting Room.
