Do you like warm weather, sunshine and fresh air? Are you interested in learning about plants and watching them grow? Join us in making 2023 another successful year here at PlantMasters, Northern Michigan's largest retail greenhouse! We are looking for individuals at least 14 years of age, new or experienced in Horticulture who are willing to learn and get their hands dirty! Depending on the position best for you, we are looking for employees to start towards the end of February until June 15th or longer. Our planting crew employees will be working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We require you to work at least 3 full days per week (Highschool students may work after school hours until school is done for the summer) The position entails planting, moving, caring for our young plants and moving them into retail when ready. No experience or education required. Some things we are looking for are the ability to: *Must be able to stand/walk for most of the day. *Lift at least 20lbs *Willing to follow instructions and work with others as a team. *Be able to work in a range of temperatures, Hot or cold. (Layering clothing is helpful) We will also hire a few individuals who may work on the planting crew in the early spring but will primarily work in retail. This position will require a minimum of three full days per week, including 1 weekend day. The hours of retail shifts vary but are most often 9am-5pm or 9am-6pm. This position consists of *Working with customers- answering questions. *Carrying out products to vehicles *Greeting and directing customers *Answering phones *Working the POS System (Clover) *Keeping the retail area clean and organized *Restocking Hardgoods *Pricing and displaying products and more. *Must have good communication skills, be friendly, passionate and willing to learn. *Able to stand/walk most of the day and lift at least 20 lbs.
